Proclamation by the President of the Republic of South Africa Commencement of the Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment Amendment Act, 2013 (Act No. 46 of 2013). In terms of section 10 (2) of the Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment Amendment Act, 2013 (Act No. 46 of 2013), I hereby determine that the Act shall come into operation on the date of publication of this proclamation, 24 October 2014

The Minister of Trade and Industry, Dr Rob Davies (MP), has announced the release of the revised Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE) Codes of Good Practice. Minister Davies says the refined Codes symbolize a new beginning in the re-orientation of the transformation policy to focus more on productive B-BBEE and the growth of black entrepreneurs through Enterprise and Supplier Development elements
